REVIEW & SWATCHES: CoverGirl TruNaked Nudes Palette

Not another nude palette! I can hear you groaning from the other side of the screen. Now, wait just a second before you click away. Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that brands are finally getting the hint and releasing full eyeshadow palettes? And the fact that while prices may be slightly rising, the quality of drugstore products is too?

The new CoverGirl TruNaked Nudes Palette is an impressive new neutral drugstore eyeshadow palette that you're going to want to pick up NOW. Click through for swatches and a quick tutorial!

At least that’s the case with the new CoverGirl TruNaked Nudes Palette. New on the drugstore scene, this little neutral palette kicks butt, especially when compared to others from similar brands. Their formula is on point, nothing like what I’ve seen from CoverGirl in the past— buttery smooth and easy to blend, and not to mention pigmented. Color that lasts gets an A in my book, everything else is just cherries on top.

One of my favorite parts of the palette was the balance between shades and finishes. Not only did we get a full spectrum of light, medium, and dark shades to create dimensional looks, but we also got an equal amount of mattes to shimmers. This alone makes the palette far better than so many others in the drugstore with its versatility. You’re totally able to take a look from day to night, or even pull off no-makeup makeup look. On the other hand, you can use the deep shades to create the sultriest of dramatic looks.

You can listen to all of my thoughts on this palette in-depth, and see how I create one of my favorite looks using the shadows in the video below:

As I mentioned in the video, the palette will range from $11-$12 in drugstores, and it’s definitely worth the money. The CoverGirl TruNaked Nudes palette, along with the Roses and Golden palette, will be popping up in drugstores within the next few months (but you can already find them online).

What do you think of the new palettes hitting the drugstores?

Beautiful look! While I typically don’t care for DS eyeshadows, sometimes there are hidden gems.

I like the looks of that. While I have a ton of neutral palettes, one more would be great.

The swatches look so pretty! I’m a sucker for nude shadows and this palette looks like a staple. The packaging is also really simple, and I dig it.

It looks a lot like Nake2, I believe. Great to have an affordable alternative.

A lot of people have said that all three of the palettes are naked dupes, in fact!
