Multi-tasking Beauty Routine for the Big Game

We’ve got the biggest and most anticipated game of the year coming up next weekend, and while I don’t actually follow sports, I always look forward to it because of the traditions. Typically, we gather at a friend’s house for a huge potluck and spend the whole day socializing. We have the game on in the background while we eat, play our own games outside, and catch up on what everyone’s been up to. Of course, we all come together for the half-time show and sing along to whomever is rocking it that year.

Game Day can be exciting and chaotic, leaving me little time to get ready. Check out how I multitask in my beauty routine to get to socializing faster!

Just like any event, I do like to get put together for the big game gathering, but I find myself with less time than usual to get ready since I’m also probably baking something to bring to the potluck. This is where I end up multi-tasking to get every step of my beauty routine done.

If I need to wash my hair, I’ll reach for a 2-in-1 solution to speed up the process. Now, shampoo & conditioner combination products get a bad rap, but the Head & Shoulders 2 in 1 Classic Clean Shampoo + Conditioner is the only one I’ve found that gently cleanses and moisturizes my hair and scalp for soft, flake free hair. It also smells awesome— subtly sweet and refreshing. Typically, I apply this by rubbing it into my scalp and then coating my ends in the product.

While I let it sink in and condition my hair, I grab my razor and start shaving my legs. I’ve been using the Venus Swirl razor lately, which has a pivoting head that helps the blades contour to your body. This especially helps when you’re moving fast, since it makes getting tricky areas a breeze. It also has a MicroFine comb to guide the hair into the blades, so you don’t have to do as many passes over the same spot. Once I’m done shaving, I rinse out the shampoo/conditioner and hop out of the shower, brushing out my hair and drying it with a microfiber towel.

Next, to make sure my pearly whites are party-ready, I slap on some Crest 3D Whitestrips. I’ve reviewed these in depth here, and I haven’t needed to touch up since then until recently, so now I’m using the Luxe Professional Effects strips to get another year of bright smiles. They have to stay on for 30 minutes, which gives me just enough time to let my hair air dry and do my makeup. They’re usually ready to take off as soon as I’m done getting ready.

To make prepping for my #GameDayTraditions even easier, I usually go to a store like Walmart that is a one-stop-shop for everything I need. From ingredients for my dish to the makeup I’ll use for my game face, I can do it all in one sweep of the store.

What are your traditions for Game Day?
